The Possiblity of Reaching  Bax’s  Normilasation in our national context: Why is it possible? When is it possible/reached/achieved?How will it be reached?

Normalization means to integrate CALL ( computer assisted language learning ) in education in a way that learners and teachers do not recognize it as a technology but as an integral part of language teaching.
Stephen Bax  explains how was the CALL in the past, how it is now, and how it will be in the future. He also explains the three phases of CALL which has been identified by Warschauer and Healey: Behaviouristic, Communicative and Integrative. Bax said that call will reach the stage of normalization when computers are used every day in our classrooms of learning language by students and teachers.

In Saudi Arabia, a little early, teachers tend to explain the lessons by using traditional materials such as, board, chalk, book, pen, worksheets. And gradually they begin to use technology in schools and improving education. They start to use smart board at most schools now. In order to applied normalization, teachers must be aware of the importance of technology as a part of the educational process and to be able to integrate it with learning . To be able to reach the state of normalization which Stephen Bax is referring to: we have to prepare the schools and universities with the technological devices computers, projectors, and a good network. The teacher can ask students to search about an article or a video that related to their lesson on classroom may this make them more active and interested in learning. Using power point presentation to explain the lesson, send the assignments via Email or upload it on any online web. Interact with students by using communication networks (Twitter, Blogger, Facebook). All these could develop learning process and make it normalized through time.
